A senior Iranian Revolutionary Guards commander has said that Iran are considering to “review their nuclear doctrine.”

This comes as a former Israeli Mossad intelligence chief has said on Wednesday that striking Iranian nuclear facilities in a retaliatory strike “is on the table.”

The former director of Israeli intelligence spy agency Zohar Palti told Sky News, that be in “no doubt” Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu could “attack sensitive facilities” in Iran after Ministers have urged for this to take place.

The IRGC commander Ahmad Haghtalab, who is in charge of nuclear security, said, “The threats of the Zionist regime against Iran’s nuclear facilities make it possible to review our nuclear doctrine and deviate from our previous considerations,” according to state media agency Tasnim.

If the Zionist regime wants to take action against our nuclear centres and facilities, we will surely and categorically reciprocate with advanced missiles against their own nuclear sites.

Haghtalab warned that they have identified Israels nuclear facilities and there “hands are on the trigger.”

The ex Mossad chief said that the timing of the attack either on Iran or their proxies is “still ongoing” and Benajamin Netanyahu has been urged to strike “as soon as possible” in retaliation to last Saturday’s missiles and drone attacks.

Palto was asked by The World with Yalda Hakim if everything is on the table, including striking Iran’s nuclear facilities.

Palto said, “No doubt. Everything is on the table right now,” asked if this includes nuclear facilities he replied, “Including everything.”

Michael Shemesh, political correspondent at the Israel Broadcasting Corporation, said on Telegram, “Government ministers recommended that Netanyahu attack sensitive facilities in Iran in response to the Iranian attack on Israel.

“The dispute in the Israeli leadership over the timing of the response is still ongoing. Most decision-makers believe the action should be carried out as soon as possible.”

He added, “A senior government official said tonight: ‘Every day that passes, the chances of a significant retaliatory attack on Iran are decreasing.’”
