The Iranian President Ebrahim Raisa warned Benjamin Netanyahu that the “tiniest move” against Iran will trigger a “fierce and painful” response for Israel.

The chief spokesman of the Israeli Defence Forces (IDF) has warned Iran that they will not get off “scot-free” after their missile and drone attack on Saturday evening.

Israel is considering their military “options” which could see airstrikes on Iran or their proxies.

The Middle East is on the brink and the region could be dragged into a wider conflict and many different “scenarios” are being considered.

IDF spokesman Rear Adm. Daniel Hagari tells reporters at Julis military base, “We cannot stand still from this kind of aggression, Iran will not get [off] scot-free with this aggression.”

The IDF said in a statement: “The world must recognise Iran’s attack could’ve ended very differently.

It’s thanks to our advanced aerial defence systems and the help of our international partners that the attack was successfully thwarted.

“We firmly declare that the slightest action against Iran’s interests will definitely be met with a severe, extensive and painful response,” Raisi said in a call with Qatar’s emir, Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani.
