Spanish pilots union Sepla has stated that it is suing strike-hit Ryanair in Spain’s High Court over its pilot contracts.
“After a year of negotiations, the failure of Ryanair to recognise Sepla and apply Spanish labour legislation for the pilots who operate in Spain forces the union to take a legal path to attain this objective,” the union said in a statement.
Ryanair — whose pilots in Sweden, Belgium and the Netherlands have already voted for industrial action — did not respond to media for immediate comment.
