At 6pm today, visitors can get to witness as many as 1,778 decorations and 750,000 light bulbs on Oxford Street. This year’s theme is ‘Christmas is Calling’ and reports suggest there are some new energy-saving baubles as well!
This time there will also be some in-store musical performances throughout the evening. Some 90 Oxford Street shops are taking part in the festivities this year.
Shoppers can enjoy performances from talented young musician Novelist, R&B powerhouse Kara Marni, and singer-songwriters Ray BLK and Isaac Waddington.
There will be a 9-piece brass band at John Lewis’ Skyline Skating from 7 to 8pm, complimentary beauty treatments, bubbles and expert gift advice at Jurlique from 5 to 9pm, and some goodies to be had at Topshop and Topman.
Also, Mercury Prize nominee Novelist is due to take to the stage at JD Sports from 7.30-8pm.
