Sony moves headquarters to Netherlands to avoid customs issues over Brexit

The Japanese electronics giant, Sony has announced Wednesday that they are to move their headquarters to the Netherlands, in December they had set up a new company.

The company said that none of their 900 employees based at Sony Europe will move from the UK.

Sony said the move will help avoid customs issues as the UK prepares to leave the EU such as change labels. September Panasonic announced they are to move out of the UK due to Brexit and Tuesday Sir James Dyson announced that his company Dyson is to move its headquarters to Singapore.

Takashi Lida and spokesperson for Sony said, “We had to take steps to ensure continuity of our operations.”
