Metropolitan Police officer has been suspended from duty charged with rape and is due to appear in court

Another Metropolitan police officer has been charged over allegations of rape and has been suspended from duty and he is due to appear on court.

PC Jordan Pascal of the Met Police’s Taskforce was charged over an allegation of rape of a woman dating as far back as 2009 by Essex Police, he will appear in court in March.

Chief Superintendent Claire Smart, who leads the Met’s Taskforce Command, said, “PC Pascal has been suspended and criminal proceedings will now follow.

“While I recognise the inevitable strength of public feeling, is important that nothing is said that will put those proceedings at risk.”

PC Pascal will appear on Monday, 13 March at Southend Magistrates Court.

Earlier this week another Met police officer was arrested and charged with rape and causing actual bodily harm.

PC Jorden Brown was charged with rape and three counts of actual bodily harm which relates to incidents which happened between November 2018 and February 2019.

PC Brown was off duty at the time and the alleged crimes relates to a person known to him, and the Met confirmed that he has been suspended from duty at the Central East Command Unit.

The Met further confirmed that allegations made against PC Brown were given the to police in October 2019 and thereafter an investigation was launched.

Det Supt Dan Rutland, from Central East Command Unit said, “PC Brown has been suspended and criminal proceedings will now follow.

“While I recognise the inevitable strength of public feeling, it is important that nothing is said that will put those proceedings at risk.”

Police chiefs are worried that their “legitimacy is hanging by a thread” as “trust has been severely damaged” as many no longer have trust in the police, amid the rapist “corrupt” cop David Carrick who got away with being able to rape and sexually abuse women for years.

Whilst a serving cop Carrick was known as “B*****d Dave” to his colleagues and was known to be mean and brutal.

On Tuesday the serial rapist was sentenced 36 life sentences with a minimum of 30 years to be served for 49 offences which include 24 counts of horrific rape.

On Tuesday David Carrick who whilst serving in the Metropolitan Police force carried out a “catalogue of violent and brutal sexual offences” over many years despite numerous complaints made against him handed a life sentence.

Whilst a serving cop Carrick was known as “B*****d Dave” to his colleagues and was known to be mean and brutal.

Passing sentence, Mrs Justice Cheema-Grubb handed the serial rapist 36 life sentences with a minimum of 30 years to be served for 49 offences which include 24 counts of horrific rape.

The former Metropolitan Police officer used his “power and control” and was able to freely attack and rape many women who were “vulnerable.”

Mrs Justice Cheema-Grubb told the corrupt serial rapist former cop, that he took “monstrous advantage” of his victims and acted as if he was “untouchable” which for many years he in fact was.

She told the defendant, “These convictions represent a spectacular downfall for a man charged with upholding the law and empowered to do so even to the extent of being authorised to bear a firearm in the execution of his duty.”
