Iran’s President vows to punish those who shot down plane


Hassan Rouhani Iran’s President has vowed to punish those who mistakenly shot down a Ukrainian airline in Tehran.

Rouhani said the fatal missile attack was an “unforgivable error” and the suspects have been arrested.

On Tuesday Rouhani said during a live televised address to the nation, “Iranian armed forces admitting their mistake is a good first step.

“We should assure people that it will not happen again.”

He added the Iranian government are “accountable to Iranian and other nations who lost lives.”

Justin Trudeau the Canadian prime minister said that the US and Iran’s standoff was the cause for the 176 people killed in the shooting down of the airline.
