Billionaire James Dyson has outlined plans to build new testing facilities and invest another £116m to develop electric cars by 2020.
He also published details of a planning application to build over 10 miles of test track on a former World War Two airfield in Wiltshire, western England.
“We are now firmly focused on the next stage of our automotive project, strengthening our credentials as a global research and development organisation,” the British inventor of the bagless vacuum cleaner said.
Sir Dyson has so far not revealed any details of the electric vehicle.
