At least 14 people have been injured in a knife attack on a bus in north Germany today, media reports state.
The attacker, believed to be in his mid-30s, has been taken into custody and authorities are trying to determine the circumstances of the attack.
Police spokesman Dierk Duerbook told Bild newspaper that nobody was killed in the attack. An area surrounding a bus stop in the Luebeck neighborhood of Kuecknitz had been sealed off.
“One of the victims had just given up his place to an older woman, when the attacker stabbed him in the chest,” a local newspaper quoted a witness as saying.
“He is said to be in his mid-30s and is in police custody,” it added.
