US warships arrive in the Black Sea as Russian Navy orders live fire exercises

US warships have entered into the Black Sea and the Russian Navy, under orders from President Vladamir Putin are holding love fire drills.

Russian missile warships, the Graivoron and Vyshny Volochek will conduct live fire drills and Russia’s Black Sea fleet said that the warships will the hovercraft, Samum and the Admiral Makarov frigate.

Some 100,000 Russian troops and military equipment are massing on the Ukrainian border and the Ukraine military are to hold land based drills in response to Russia’s actions.

Russian troops are also on the border with Crimea which is on the Black Sea coastline, with artillery, short range ballistic missiles and tanks on the move.

The RAF are deploying six Typhoon super jets to Romania along with Expeditionary Logistics Squadron.

The Ministry of Defence (MoD) chiefs have said the RAF fighter jets will patrol airspace around the Black Sea Coast in the south.

Margarita Simonyan, the editor-in-chief of Russian state-run outlets RT and Sputnik has warned that conflict is now inevitable between the US and Russia.

She said, “In a conventional war, we could defeat Ukraine in two days.

“But it will be another kind of war.

“We’ll do it, and then the US will respond by turning off power to the Russian city Voronezh.”

The Russian Navy said on Wednesday, “In the sea, the crews of the ships will conduct single and joint test artillery fires at surface and air targets.

“The role of a simulated enemy will be played by naval target shields.

“In addition to ships, aeroplanes and helicopters of naval aviation and air defence of the fleet will be involved in the check.”

Russia’s Deputy Foreign Minister Ryabkov, speaking in Moscow today, warned the US to keep t heir distance from Russian forces in the Black Sea, as the risk of unspecified “incidents” is very high.

Ryabkov warned, “There is absolutely nothing for American ships to be doing near our shores, this is purely a provocative action.

“Provocative in the direct sense of the word: they are testing our strength… They will not succeed.

“We warn the United States that it will be better for them to stay far away from Crimea and our Black Sea coast. It will be for their own good.

“The United States is our adversary and does everything it can to undermine Russia’s position on the world stage.

“We do not see any other elements in their approach. Those are our conclusions.”

As US warships are in the Black Sea, Ryabkov warned the US there is no need for American ships “on our shores, “ as this is “pure provocation.”

He added, “If there is any aggravation, we of course will do everything to ensure our security and the safety of our citizens, wherever they are.

“But Kiev and its allies in the West will be entirely responsible for the consequences of a hypothetical exacerbation.”

Russia’s Defence Minister claims that the military are on their border in response to NATO military drills.

 

Sergei Shoigu said, “Over three weeks, two armies and three airborne units were successfully deployed to the western borders of the Russian Federation in areas for performing combat training exercises.”

A White House statement reads, “President Biden emphasized the United States’ unwavering commitment to Ukraine’s sovereignty and territorial integrity.

“The President voiced our concerns over the sudden Russian military build-up in occupied Crimea and on Ukraine’s borders and called on Russia to de-escalate tensions.

“President Biden reaffirmed his goal of building a stable and predictable relationship with Russia consistent with US interests and proposed a summit meeting in a third country in the coming months to discuss the full range of issues facing the United States and Russia.”
