The North Korean despot leader is “alive and well” according to South Korea, and he has been “staying in the Wonsan area.”
There has been much speculation over the leader’s health following reports that he underwent heart surgery and was either seriously ill or dead.
Moon Chung-in, the top foreign policy adviser to South Korean President Moon Jae-in, told CNN, “Our government position is firm.
“Kim Jong Un is alive and well. He has been staying in the Wonsan area since 13 April.
“No suspicious movements have so far been detected.”
Jong-un who is 36-years old was last seen in public on 11 April at the ruling Worker’s Party politburo.
South Korea’s Defence Minister Jeong Kyeong-doo said there has been an increase in air force flight operations and have stepped up inspections of artillery.
Kyeong-doo said, “North Korea … has been heightening military tensions through an unusual increase in the inspection activities for its combat readiness posture, mostly of its artillery, and in its air force planes’ flight operations.”
US Senator Lindsey Graham said he would be “shocked” if the despot was not “dead or incapacitated.”
The US Senator said such rumours in North Korea over the death would not be allowed to go “unanswered,” since he has not been seen since 11 April.
