Boris Johnson speaks to the Queen

The Prime Minister spoke to the Queen on Wednesday night by telephone, his spokesman has confirmed.

Boris Johnson is currently recovering from coronavirus, spoke to the monarch from his official country residence, Chequers.

Johnson’s official spokesman said, “He spoke with the First Secretary of State, Dominic Raab on Wednesday, and he had an audience of Her Majesty the Queen by telephone last night.”

Downing Street confirmed today that 22,814 people have been tested for coronavirus on 13,522 people in one day and capacity is now at 48,273.

The Health Secretary Matt Hancock has set a target to have 100,000 test each day by the end of this month.
