The FTSE 250 company, Wizz Air has said they had soaring passenger numbers during May by 22.4% to 3.4m as the airline opened up new flight routes, compared to 2.8m the previous year.
During the 12 months to May passenger numbers also leapt by 17.1% to 35.7m compared to the same period the previous year.
The Hungarian airline saw seat numbers increase by 19.8% to 3.7m in May due to the new flight routes.
Pre-tax profits saw a 4.5% to £265.7m in the year to 31 March, last month, the airline withstood recent turbulence and delivered a 19.6% rise in revenues to £2bn.
In early morning trading share rose by 2% to 3,339p.
