Trump spits his dummy and refuses to hold press briefings over criticism

The US President Donald Trump has thrown his toys out the pram as he is refusing to hold press briefings as its “not worth the time and effort.”

This comes after his car crash press briefing over using disinfectant to treat coronavirus patients, which would ultimately kill them.

He hit out at “the lamestream media” after he was slammed across the world by the media, scientists and disinfectant manufacturers over his “dangerous” comments.

On Thursday Trump cut short his White House press briefing, on Friday he walked out and refused to answer press questions and on Saturday he refused to hold one.

Dettol maker Reckitt Benckiser (RB) advised against the US President’s comments and said, “under no circumstance should our disinfectant products be administered into the human body [through injection, ingestion or any other route].”

Doctors and scientists branded Trump’s comments as “irresponsible” and “dangerous,” whilst the US President then back tracked and claimed it was “sarcasm.”

He tweeted on Saturday evening, “What is the purpose of having White House News Conferences when the Lamestream Media asks nothing but hostile questions, & then refuses to report the truth or facts accurately.

“They get record ratings, & the American people get nothing but Fake News.

“Not worth the time & effort!”

Last week, Robert Reich, a professor of public policy at the University of California at Berkeley said on Twitter, “Trump’s briefings are actively endangering the public’s health.

“Boycott the propaganda. Listen to the experts. And please don’t drink disinfectant.”
