Terror hits Nottingham with a ‘major incident’ declared after three found dead and a man has been arrested

Police have arrested a 31-year old man under the suspicion of murder who remains in custody after three people were found dead in a street in Nottingham.

Police were called after 4am on Tuesday morning where two people were found dead in a street and another person                was killed nearby.

Police were then called to another incident around a mile away where it has been reported that a can attempted to run over three people who are being treated in hospital.

Police and emergency services are currently at several locations and Nottinghamshire police have said that they are dealing with an “ongoing serious incident.”

Nottingham police have said that there are “major police incidents around the city and suburbs,” and armed officers are active in the city and The Nottingham Express Transit (NET) tram network also been closed.

A statement from the police said, “There are multiple road closures in place throughout the city while the incident is being investigated.

“We are asking the public and motorists to please avoid the following areas and plan alternate routes.”
