Warsaw could send Ukraine between 6 to 8 MiG-29 fighter jets to Ukraine to “help destroy” Russian forces.

Poland is in discussions with Kyiv to send the retired jets to boost Ukraine’s air defences, Polish Deputy Defense Minister Cezary Tomczyk said on Sunday.

Tomczyk said their defences will nor affected as the jets “are leaving the Polish army at the end of December,” he added, “They can end up in a museum, be sold, scrapped – or they can go to Ukraine and help destroy our enemies,” Tomczyk told TVN 24.

“The donation of the aircraft would be part of the alliance’s policy of supporting Ukraine and maintaining security on NATO’s eastern flank,” the General Staff wrote on X.
