More than 100 arrests made over climate change protest

Scotland Yard said that overnight the number of arrests surged to 113 and were mainly for breaching an order to stay at Marble Arch, as they dealt with the ongoing climate change protests.

Extinction Rebellion demonstrators were restricted to a site at Marble Arch, following disruptions across the capital on Monday most groups were seen at Waterloo Bridge and Parliament Square.

Transport for London has warned that some roads in Westminster and the West End were blocked as the rush hour started.

Five of the 113 arrested were held on suspicion of criminal damage at the Shell headquarters near to Waterloo Bridge.
