The Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky said that Vladimir Putin only called Donald Trump last week about the Tomahawks because Moscow is afraid.
The US President and Putin held a two-hour call last week, Putin only made the call over “Trump’s rhetoric about the Tomahawks,” as it did come across to many Zelensky would receive the long-range high precision missiles.
Zelensky was asked by journalists if Putin only made the call amid the possible decision to send Ukraine the missiles.
Zelensky told journalists, “Yes, because of the Tomahawks, because of President Trump’s rhetoric about the Tomahawks,” and the US President does not want an escalation.

Zelensky added, “The relevant weapons are not only in the US, and if the US takes a step forward, the Russians understand that I will agree in Europe on the Tomahawks and other necessary weapons
He then said European leaders are to appeal to Trump to allow the use of Tomahawks deep inside the Russian Federation.
Zelensky said, “First of all, I would like to say that European countries also have Tomahawks. The question is not just about the Tomahawks as such.
“The question is about the use of weapons. Because you can have ATACMS, but how can you use them? The question is not only what weapons you have, but how can you use them.”
He has insisted that Ukraine will only use the missiles on Russian military facilities, and they will not be used on civilians.
Zelensky added, “We spoke with European leaders immediately after the meeting with President Trump. They themselves want to appeal to him.”
The Kremlin has expressed their concerns of Ukraine having the Tomahawks as Trump keeps flip flopping.
Moscow’s foreign ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova said, “It is unacceptable – without question.”
