Eddie Stobart has confirmed that Andrew Tinkler the former Stobart boss has announced his interest to take over the troubled haulage company.
The haulage firm told their investors that they have had a “highly preliminary expression of interest” from Tinkler’s firm TVFC (3) Ltd.
Under UK takeover rules Tinkler’s company must make their intention clear and make an offer by 16 October to buy Eddie Stobart of walk away.
Shares in the haulage company are currently suspended and on Monday the company warned profits will be “significantly below” expectations.
