Ukraine conducts fresh strikes on Russia as explosions ‘rang out all night’

The Security Service of Ukraine (SBU) carried out a successful long-range attacks overnight striking and damaging an ammunition depot and an oil facility, a source told the Kyiv Independent.

This is part of Ukraine’s “deep strike” campaign to specifically target Russian military targets and hit Vladimir Putin’s pockets hard by attacking oil infrastructure.

An SBU source told the publication, that long-range drones are operated by Alpha special forces unit and hit a large Russian ammunition depot near to the town of Neya in Kostroma Oblast and that explosions “rang out all night.”

Alpha Special Operations Center of the Security Service,  also targeted a large oil facility near to the city of Usman, Lipetsk Oblast, some 250 Km from occupied Ukrainian territory.

Regional governor Igor Artamanov said a fire started at an “industrial facility” close to Usman.

SBU drones also targeted the Gerkon Plus oil depot in the village of Streletskiye Khutory, Lipetsk region of Russia which supplied petroleum  products to Lipetsk, Tambov and Voronezh.
