Michael O’Leary chief executive of Ryanair has warned his staff that jobs cuts are on the cards in the coming weeks.
He has said he has 500 more pilots and 400 more cabin crew than he needs, the airline has warned there could be up to 1,500 jobs at risk.
By summer 2020 he further announced he will need 600 fewer cabin crew and the job cuts are “unavoidable.”
Bloomberg leaked a video of what O’Leary said and Ryanair has authenticated the video.
On Monday he announced in the three months to 30 June a 21% fall in profits.
