The Royal College of Nursing (RCN) has warned that nurses could strike “until Christmas” unless the government does not step in a resolve the bitter dispute.
The head of the RCN union Pat Cullen told Sky News, “It is for the secretary of state to come back around the table and put a better offer on the table.”
She warned that if Steve Barclay the Health Secretary does not provide a better offer then England may well “see our nursing staff on picket lines up until Christmas. But we don’t want that”.
“We do need to bring this health service back from the brink.”
