The UK Health Security Agency (UKHSA) has announced the total number of Omicron deaths now reported in the UK has risen to seven, as of Thursday.
One death had been reported up in data which ran up to Tuesday, whilst hospitalisations have also increased to 85, up from 65.
Omicron cases have risen by 10,059 in the last 24 hours and the Mayor of London Sadiq Khan has declared a “major incident in London.”
