Government-listed home testing provider, Qured, announces the launch of their discounted COVID-19 home testing service for Heathrow passengers.

Qured will provide two types of home test kits, both Rapid Antigen LFD and PCR. Passengers arriving in the UK will have the option to book discounted at-home Rapid Antigen LFD tests in line with the UK’s pre-departure requirements. The PCR kits can be used to comply with the UK Government’s post-arrival requirements for testing on day 2 and day 8.

Heathrow passengers can book both home test kits through Qured’s website at www.qured.com and apply the promotional code HEATHROW10 during the booking process to receive a 10 per cent discount on the price of the test. This discounted rate will only apply to Heathrow passengers ordering home kits. Qured offers convenient testing which can be done at home or while abroad, but does not offer on-site testing at Heathrow Airport.

The Rapid Antigen test kits can be conveniently ordered to any UK address. Designed to be portable, customers can take the kits abroad, in preparation for their return to the UK. These tests are remotely overseen by a certified health advisor via a scheduled video call. The health advisor will guide the customer through taking a nose swab and processing the sample. Results are verified within two hours, and customers who test negative can download a ‘Fit to Fly’ certificate.

Fit to Fly PCR home test kits will need to be sent to a laboratory for processing. Customers using these tests will need to log into their Qured account to activate the kit. This acts as a tracking tool for when the sample is sent to the lab for testing. The sample can be posted using Royal Mail or Qured’s courier service, depending on the passenger location. Qured aims to provide results within 36 hours of the sample being checked into the lab for processing.

Mark Burgess, Heathrow Process Improvement Director, said: “As more people begin to travel, we’re working hard to ensure there are affordable and simple COVID testing options for Heathrow passengers. We’re delighted to add another offering through a new partnership with testing provider Qured. Their low-cost and easy-to-use test kits will make a big difference to those looking to get away this summer, especially now that all Heathrow passengers will get an additional 10 per cent discount.”

Alex Templeton, CEO, Qured, said: “The technology used for testing has come an incredibly long way in a very short space of time. The process of taking a test is much easier than six months ago, making the experience less daunting for those travelling. Results are also available much quicker than ever before.

“As a trusted healthcare provider, we look forward to delivering an exceptional experience to Heathrow’s passengers and to work with them as travel continues to open up, enabling people to reunite with loved ones, and to reconnect with colleagues and clients for the first time in a long time.”
