In the first half of February car sales have plummeted by 92% due to coronavirus shutdown, as car dealerships are closed, and buyers are staying away to prevent the spread of the virus.
The China Passenger Car Association (CPCA) said “There was barely anybody at car dealers in the first week of February as most people stayed at home.”
According to Statista China sold just over 21m cars last year making it the worlds’ largest car market, while the US remains the second largest.
