The Prime Minister has warned the country to brace for “many job losses” as the economic impact of the coronavirus are set to emerge.
Boris Johnson said the government will adopt an “interventionist” approach in supporting the economy as the country comes out of lockdown.
The Prime Minister acknowledged that a second spike of the virus will cause more devastation for the British economy.
Johnson warned, “I am afraid tragically there will be many, many job losses. That is just inevitable.”
