Balfour Beatty are the preferred bidder for railway track renewal and crossings for Network Rail, in a £1.5bn contract lasting for ten-years.
The construction firm are the UK’s largest and undertake infrastructure projects such as, Cross Rail, HS2 and Hinkley Point C nuclear power plant.

Shares for the company rose 1.2% on Thursday morning.
