Armed police rushed to Chatham on Wednesday morning after there were reports of gunshots being fired from an apartment block balcony.
Kent police closed several roads in the area as a precaution.
A local resident told Kent Online, “There was a lot of banging just over an hour ago, I just assumed it was construction workers.
This video show the gunman playing music, then he picks up a handgun which is out of bullets then picks up another hand gun and fires six shots from his balcony.

“There was armed police outside The Range who waved everyone back, they moved towards the noise.
“Staff at The Range have been trying to catch everyone and get them into the shop.
“Someone across the way shouted about someone having a gun.
“There’s a police helicopter flying above.”

A police spokesman, Martin Very, told the news site, “Kent Police were called at 8.35am on Wednesday, April 22 to a disturbance at a flat on Dock Head Road, Chatham.

“Members of the public reported seeing a man on a balcony with weapons and patrols, including armed officers, are at the scene making enquiries.”
A local resident shared a video on social media and said the man has a “machine gun” and a “pistol.”

In a statement police said, “Kent Police was called at 8.35am to a disturbance at a flat on Dock Head Road, Chatham.
“Members of the public reported seeing a man on a balcony with weapons and patrols, including armed officers, attended the scene.
“The police helicopter was also deployed and a man in 30s has now been arrested on suspicion of firearms offences.
