Neil Woodford and his business partner pocketed £13.8m in dividends the year before the demise of the fund empire.

In accounts filed with Companies House for Woodford Investment Management show the disgraced money manager received the payout for the full financial year before the suspension of the fund in June 2019.

Woodford received around £9m in the year to 31 March or two thirds of the payout due to his 65% ownership of the flagship fund.

Craig Newman chief executive received £4.8m and the year before they both pocketed £36.5m.
