The US are set to send a further $275 million military aid package to Ukraine which includes HIMARs and “counter air defence” systems to defeat the Iranian drones being used.
The White House confirmed that the US President Jo Biden authorised the military aid package and in total the US has sent more than $19 billion of equipment to Kyiv, to date.
The package includes High Mobility Artillery Rocket System (HIMARS) launchers made by Lockheed Martin Corp.
There will be 80,000 155mm artillery round shells, around 150 generators and Humvee military vehicles, which is the 27th package for Ukraine.

National Security Council spokesman John Kirby said most of the military equipment is already “on its way.”
The details are not very clear, but it does appear that Ukraine will be receiving nre capabilities which includes, “counter air defence capability” and “Counter-Unmanned Aerial Systems equipment.”
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky said, “Thankful to President Biden for another security aid package. And for unwavering leading support Ukraine in our fight against Russian aggression.
“No missile terror will stop our fight for freedom! It is important that the people of the United States are side by side with the people of Ukraine in this struggle.”
