On Saturday morning Ukrainian MIG fighter jets “destroyed” two Russian SU-24 fighter’s after they were shot down and a “pilot was taken prisoner.”

Oleksiy Arestovych who is the adviser to the head of the President’s Office, confirmed in an interview with Ukrainian television on Saturday.

Arestovych  said, “SU-34 fighter was shot down above Chernihiv, one pilot was destroyed, the second was taken prisoner.

“A plane was also shot down in the Zatoka area, the pilot was taken prisoner,” he said.

He added that a powerful blow was made near Kherson, as he said the situation is stable, our troops are holding their positions.

Asked about the losses of the enemy, Arestovych expressed the opinion that “10,000 declared losses are skeptical data.” According to him, the military is usually cautious in their assessments.

Also three Russian helicopters were shot down near Mykolaiv, Head of Mykolaiv Regional Military Administration Vitaliy Kim has said.

“There are three enemy helicopters (that is they have already been shot down on the ground),” Kim wrote on Telegram on Saturday.
