A “large Russian ammunition depot” was blown up by M142 High Mobility Artillery Rocket Systems (HIMAR) rockets which were donated by the US government and killed more than 150 Russian National Guard’s, a Major General and four Colonels.
Spokesperson of Odesa Regional Military Administration Serhiy Bratchuk announced the death of 150 Russian troops, including a general and five senior officers and many wounded, in Kherson.
The Moscow Times reported that Russia has suffered “large losses in both men and equipment” in less than a week, according to Igor Girkin, who is a former commander of separatist forces in eastern Ukraine.

“The Russian air defense systems… turned out to be ineffective against massive strikes by HIMARS missiles,” Girkin, who also goes by the alias Strelkov, wrote.
Russian state television journalist Andrei Rudenko said, “Strong fires and explosions… The situation is horrible.”
“Over the last 5-6 days, more than 10 large dumps for artillery and other ammunition, several oil depots, about 10 command centers and about the same number of troop gathering points were hit,” ex-rebel commander Girkin said.

Spokesperson of Odesa Regional Military Administration said, “After HIMARS missiles hit the headquarters in Kherson region, chief of staff of the 22nd Army Corps of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation (military unit No. 73954, Simferopol), Major General Nasbulin, was killed.
“Colonel Kens, whose death were reported yesterday, died in the same place. And besides him, commander of the 20th motorized rifle division (military unit No. 22220, Volgograd).
Colonel Andrey Gorobets, head of the operational department of the headquarters of the 20th motor rifle division Colonel Koval, chief of artillery of the 20th motor rifle division Colonel Gordeev were also killed.
“In total, there were more than 150 dead, including five officers.”
MP Oleksiy Honcharenko said that the rocket attack was carried out on the base of Russian forces.
He added, on Sunday, “Today, our direct hit smashed the ruscists’ base in Kherson … According to my information, they got into the Russian National Guard’s barracks. A lot of 200 body bag.”
