Carlos Ghosn has resigned as the boss of car maker Renault amid fraud allegations.

In an interview with Bloomberg Television, a French minister said: “Carlos Ghosn just resigned last night.”

The move comes two months after Mr Ghosn’s arrest and dismissal as chairman of Renault’s alliance partner Nissan.

Mr Ghosn remains in detention in Japan on allegations of financial misconduct which he denies.
