SSP Group who owns Upper Crust are to cut around 5,000 jobs, which is more than half of the UK’s 9,000 workers.
The Group will outline their plans in a statement to the London Stock Exchange after suffering heavy losses due to the pandemic, Sky News reported.
The broadcast said that they have seen a message that was sent to staff on Tuesday revealing the Group are to “reshape” their business.
It added, “From tomorrow, we will be starting a collective consultation on a number of proposed changes to the business.”
The travel food specialist are behind railways stations and airports employs some 30,000 staff globally with 2,500 outlets.
