On the night of 17 October Ukrainian Special Operations Forces (SOF) carried out a successful operation to defeat Russian airfields in Berdiansk and Luhansk regions.
The SOF said on the Telegram channel on Tuesday, as a result, nine helicopters of various modifications, special equipment located at the airfields an air defense launcher, an ammunition depot were destroyed along with the runways.
The Special Operations Forces said, “Special Operations Forces received information about the enemy’s use of airfields in temporarily occupied Berdiansk and Luhansk, as well as the presence of a significant amount of aviation and special equipment and ammunition on them.

“As a result of the fire strike on the night of October 16-17, the occupiers suffered significant losses.
“According to the latest data, the following were destroyed in Berdiansk and Luhansk: nine helicopters of various modifications, special equipment that was located at the airfields, an air defense launcher, an ammunition depot, and the airfield runways were damaged,” the SOF informs.”
“Losses in enemy personnel amount to dozens of dead and wounded. Bodies are still being pulled out from under the rubble,” the message added.
