He’s now one step closer to US premiership
Donald Trump today secured the Republican nomination for US president.
During the Republican convention,the House Speaker, Paul Ryan, rallied support for Trump.
The news comes after Trump’s wifr Melania was accused of copying Michelle Obama’s speech.
Trump won after clinching over 1,237 votes.
He later said: “I am so proud to be your nominee for president of the United States,” Trump said. “With your vote today, this stage of the presidential process has come to a close.
“Together we have received historic results, with the largest vote total in the history of the Republican party. This is a movement and we have to go all the way.”
