Spain’s Foreign Minister is considering imposing quarantine on those who travel from the UK when their borders reopen next week.
This is in response to a similar quarantine measure that was introduced on 8 June for those who enter the UK.
If Britain lifts their restriction making a reciprocal approach then Spain will drop their plans, Arancha Gonzalez Laya told the BBC.
Gonzalez Laya told the Hard talk programme, “We will be in a dialogue with the UK to see whether or not we should be introducing reciprocity as they have different measures than the rest of the European Union.”
Chancellor Rishi Sunak told Sky News on Sunday that the government are reviewing the quarantine measures, and travel corridors or air bridges could be introduced with certain countries.
