Prime Minister could be set to ban indoor gatherings in England

Prime Minister Boris Johnson is considering banning indoor gatherings as he fears they are to blame for the spread of coronavirus, which has subsequently seen eight deaths on Sunday.

The government’s scientific advisers have pinpointed the blame on gatherings between family groups as the main cause of a rise coronavirus cases.

On Friday Johnson announced he is putting the brakes on easing the lockdown after a rise in the infection rate across England, as cases are rising for the first time since May.

Officials have hinted that the M25 could also become a ring of steel around London with no one allowed in or out over fears of a second coronavirus wave.

On Sunday that UK’s coronavirus death toll rose by eight, with five in England and three in Wales, which now total’s 46,201 across all settings.
