Piers Morgan caught speeding as he was ‘late’ for Golf shootout

The Good Morning Britain host Piers Morgan was stopped by police on Friday for speeding as he was “late” for the celebrity Paddy Power Golf Shootout.

Morgan admitted speeding to his 7m Twitter followers and claimed he was “late [and] rushing” to get to the event.

He admitted to breaking the law and said the police were both “polite” and “respectful.”

Piers said, “I was caught speeding today, on my way to the #PPGolf charity day. No complaints, I was late, rushing & in the wrong.

“The police officers who stopped me were respectful, polite & treated me with dignity.”
