Protesters gathered in London this weekend calling on the British government to help support those living in Gaza and help end Israeli strikes on the area.

Since 8 July, 434 Palestinians have been killed by Israeli shells – most of them were civilians and many were children. Around 2,600 have been wounded.

During the same period, 18 Israeli soldiers and two civilians have been killed.

This came as David Cameron reiterated the UK government’s support for Israel.

Starting at Downing Street and moving to the Israeli Embassy in Kensington, the protest saw an estimated 15,000 people march in support of “justice and freedom” for Palestine.
