The UK will be hit with torrential rain this weekend and the Met Office has issued yellow warnings and one amber warning for Thursday.
There will be heavy flooding in places as the UK will be struck with a deluge of torrential rain.
Met Office meteorologist Aidan McGivern warned another brutal weather system which is being pushed by the Atlantic jetstream will approach the UK on Saturday.
He said, “It’s not long before another system turns up, carried along by the jetstream.
“You can see two streams with this jet stream, one of them engaging some warm air towards the Iberian peninsula and developing some wet weather systems there and another pushing systems through to the UK.
“There is a chance this initial front moving in for Friday night there’s a chance some of this activity to the south, some of this warm air and the jet stream, could develop it further.
McGivern added, “The weather stays very changeable through the weekend and this highly developed mental zone where we have the jet stream close by, spinning up and picking up these areas of low pressure and sending them to the UK.
“This low more likely to deepen compared to the other one and more likely to bring a spell of wet and windy weather for Sunday.
“Temperatures will be around average on Sunday but with all that wind and rain, it won’t feel very pleasant at all.”
