DIY retail group Kingfisher, parent company of B&Q, has appointed a new chief financial officer Bernard Bot.

Bot  joins from travel technology platform Travelport where he was CFO. Before that, he was CFO at Aer Lingus and TNT Express.

Kingfisher’s previous CFO Karen Witts left the firm in October 2018, and John Wartig took up the reins as interim CFO in April.

Wartig has been appointed to a newly-created role of Chief Transformation and Development Officer and will be responsible for transformation, IT, business development and property.
