Scotland’s First Minister Nicola Sturgeon has announced on Monday that the lockdown is “very likely” to be extended this Thursday.
Whilst Boris Johnson is setting out plans on a strategy on how to ease the lockdown.
Sturgeon said at her daily briefing that the coronavirus rate is to high to “make any meaningful change.”
She said that there has been a “real and significant progress,” but the reproduction rate of coronavirus is too high to start to relax lockdown measures.
Sturgeon added, that she wants to be delivering a daily briefing “in a few weeks” saying the lockdown measures are being eased.
“My big worry is that if we ease up now then I won’t be able to do that,” she said.
She said the strategy will only work if the public sticks with it and she added, there is no “quick fix or magic solution.”
