Elon Musk is ready to test out his Boring Company’s high-speed, underground Hyperloop project in Los Angeles on December 11.
The billionaire entrepreneur confirmed the development on social media when he tweeted:

Musk also confirmed that there will be festivities to mark the debut of high-speed underground pods, as well as an opening event on the night of December 10 and free rides for the public the next day.

The trial tunnel will have a top speed of 155 miles per hour, according to Musk, surpassing the 125 mph traveled by an electric sled in a video of a test run posted in 2017.
