Donald Trump’s odds of winning the Republican nomination have improved since news broke of his indictment as punters continue to back the 2016 election winner to stand in 2024.
On March 27, Trump was 5/6 (55%) to win the Republican backing and is now 4/5 (56%) as punters aren’t put off by his upcoming court appearance.
Ron De Santis is Trump’s closest challenger for the Republican nomination at 5/2 and Joe BIden is the 2/1 favourite to win the 2024 election and is the clear odds-on 2/5 favourite to win the backing of his party to stand again.

“The odds on Trump winning the Republican nomination have improved to 4/5 having been 5/6 in the days before the world knew of his indictment.
“Punters continue to side with Trump despite the news and it’s had an impact on Ron DeSantis’ odds of becoming the candidate in the red corner with his odds drifting to 5/2 from 2/1.
“Joe Biden remains the firm favourite at 2/5 to win the Democratic nomination and heads the main election market at 2/1 to win a second term.”
