Another Tory MP has submitted a letter of no confidence which will put Boris Johnson under more pressure. Conservative MP for Totnes and South Devon, Anthony Mangnall has confirmed that he will be submitting his vote of no confidence as he can no longer support the Prime Minister “at this time.”
Mangall said Johnson’s “actions and mistruths are overshadowing the extraordinary work of so many excellent ministers and colleagues.
“Standards in public life matter.”
This comes as it was reported on Tuesday evening that Boris Johnson was at a party in his flat at Downing Street with Abba songs blaring out.
Scotland Yard are now investigating these claims and Dominic Cummings has waded in saying there is photographic evidence.
The Prime Minister was reportedly seen heading up to the shindig which happened on 13 November 2020.
The much respected Tobias Ellwood MP also submitted a letter of no confidence to Sir Graham today saying it was “just horrible” that Tory MPs are trying to defend the Prime Minister.
Scotland Yard are now investigating these claims and Dominic Cummings has waded in saying there is photographic evidence, which if true this could be potentially very damning for Johnson’s future.
“The government’s acknowledged the need for fundamental change, culture, make-up, discipline, the tone of Number 10, but the strategy has been one, it seems, of survival, of rushed policy announcements like the Navy taking over the migrant Channel crossings.”
