Twitter hits $1.1bn in quarterly revenue

Social media giant Twitter has posted revenue between October and December of 2019 of $1.1bn and increase of 11% from 2018.

Jack Dorsey the chief of Twitter said his network are “learning faster” and “prioritising better” as they have achieved the record revenue rise for the first time.

Although revenue is positive net income is down by $118.8m compared with $255.3m the year before.

Dorsey said, “2019 was a great year for Twitter.

“Entering 2020, we are building on our momentum learning faster, prioritising better, shipping more and hiring remarkable talent.

“All of which put us in a stronger position as we address the challenges and opportunities ahead.”
