Independent rail and coach ticketing platform Trainline has reported rising revenues for the first nine months of its financial year, adding it is “on track” to meet its expectations for the full year.
It said group net ticket sales were up 18% from a year earlier to £2.9bn, with mobile sales becoming more popular because of the increasing availability of eTickets.
Group revenues jumped by 26% to £198m.
“We are on track to deliver our plans for the full year and will continue to invest both in the UK and internationally to deliver the significant growth opportunities for Trainline in the year ahead,” said chief executive Clare Gilmartin.
