Pubs could reopen in ‘mid-April’ under ‘roadmap’

Under Boris Johnson’s easing of the third national lockdown, pub gardens and outdoor Cafes could reopen by mid-April.

At 3pm today the Prime Minister will outline to MPs in the Commons his lifting of the national lockdown in England.

It is thought that schools will return on 8 March, and the stay at home order will be scrapped, but the rule of six will return in late March.

By July it is hoped England will return back to some form of normality and every adult would have been offered their first vaccine dose.

Johnson said, “Our decisions will be made on the latest data at every step. We will be cautious about this approach so that we do not undo the progress we have achieved so far and the sacrifices each and every one of you has made to keep yourself and others safe.

“We have therefore set four key tests which must be met before we can move through each step of the plan.

“I’ll be setting out a roadmap to bring us out of lockdown cautiously.”
