This month, runners will take to the streets once more for the 43rd London Marathon and Canary Wharf remains one of the capital’s hot spots for spectators to take in the racing spirit at mile 19.

Visitors barely need to leave the side lines during the race action, with grab-and-go food options such as the newly opened La Petite M Café or al fresco spot Café Brera. For a leisurely post-race meal, diners can refuel at Wood Wharf’s California style restaurant Feels like June or international spot Caravan in Reuters Plaza.

To make the most of their day out, families are invited to discover the popular Children’s Art Trail with 12 pieces of art dotted across the Estate. It forms part of the Wharf’s free to view outdoor public art collection, which includes over 100 artworks.

For those looking to take in the Marathon from a different perspective, GoBoats return ahead of the summer season and are offering 15% off to walk-ups on the day. Visitors can cruise through Canary Wharf waters and soak up the race atmosphere in a self-driving boat with a picnic.

Spectators can take advantage of Canary Wharf’s three hours free parking when you spend £10 at any participating shops, cafes, bars, or restaurants, available at weekends and bank holidays, allowing plenty of time to explore the area.
